So – unfortunately, Amy did not submit her photo herself to be Babe of The Week – in fact, I don’t even know if she has ever heard of CPAPBabes!

That being said, I have nominated her as Babe of the Week this week because she is a great advocate for sleep apnea and CPAP!

I read a while ago that Amy Poehler had sleep apnea, but I was honestly kind of pissed at her because I read this article, which says the following:

“Poehler doesn’t claim to be perfect. Sleep is something she continues to struggle with. She used the machine religiously for a while but now admits to storing it in the closet. ‘I know I should use it. I’m working on it. I’m a bad sleeper; I told you,’ she wrote. For now, she continues to try breathing strips and mouth guards and special pillows.”

I was bummed. I was mad. I think I may have angry tweeted her once or twice.

However, it seems that she has had a change of heart! In a newer article, she says this:

“Yeah, I don’t know about your listeners, but anybody who’s out there who has a snoring problem or sleep apnea, I’m telling you … I would love to get you into a CPAP today, is what I’m trying to say. It has completely changed my life. Truly. …

I’ve always been a terrible sleeper. I performed most of my career incredibly sleep-deprived. And when I — really, it’s the best thing I’ve ever done for my health. So yeah, much like my friend Bradley Cooper, who used his real dog in A Star Is Born, I used my real CPAP machine in this movie.

I hope I win a CPAP award. If I don’t, I will be so mad.”

So – it looks like Amy has come around! Amy, I am so proud of you for embracing your CPAP and spreading the word for it.

And – good news! You have now been dubbed Babe of the Week – you have won a CPAP Award! Now you don’t have to be so mad!

Congratulations, Amy! <3 Send me your address and I will send you a bumper sticker that says “I was Babe of the Week on CPAPBabes.com” <3
